Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

1. Information collected

Creating and using a kitgrease account involves the following data:

  • Email address — collected at sign-up and used to send the magic-link sign-in email.
  • Usage data — plan tier, conversion usage count, saved mapping configurations, and (for paid plans) a Stripe customer reference.
  • Supplier file contents are not collected. Files are parsed and converted entirely in the browser and never reach kitgrease's servers.

2. How information is used

Email address: to send sign-in links and account-related notices.

Usage data: to enforce the plan's conversion limit, restore saved mappings on a later visit, and manage billing for paid plans.

None of this data is used for advertising, and none of it is shared for advertising purposes.

3. Authentication — Supabase

Account creation and sign-in are handled by Supabase, which stores the account's email address and manages the magic-link authentication flow and session tokens. Supabase also hosts the database that stores plan, usage, and saved-mapping data described above.

4. Payments — Stripe

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's checkout and are handled and stored by Stripe — kitgrease never receives or stores full card numbers. Stripe provides kitgrease with a customer reference and subscription status, used to grant plan access and conversion credits.

5. Organization data

For agency plan users, organization membership data (which accounts belong to which organization) is stored to manage shared conversion access for invited team members.

6. No data sold to third parties

Account data is never sold, rented, or traded to third parties. It is shared only with the service providers named above (Supabase and Stripe) to the extent needed to operate kitgrease, and where required by law.

7. Data retention

Account and usage data is retained for as long as the account exists. Saved mappings persist until deleted individually from the dashboard or removed as part of an account deletion.

8. Deleting an account

An account can be deleted from the dashboard. A deletion request can also be sent to support@kitgrease.com. Deletion removes the account's email address, usage data, and saved mappings permanently from kitgrease's database. Stripe retains its own payment records independently, in line with Stripe's data retention practices and applicable financial recordkeeping law.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
